A conversation with Jeroen van Teijlingen about the role of a CFO
Our consultant Benjamin Maas interviews the CFO of Medux: Jeroen van Teijlingen. How does he improve the finance organisation in order to meet the changing demands of stakeholders and new technologies?
“It’s no secret that there is a huge transition taking places from accounting to the strategic agenda. The image of the CFO as a glorified accountant is no longer correct. The role of a CFO has become more demanding and more interesting. Processing invoices and creating an annual report is very valuable and nice but nowadays we focus more on the insights that can help the company grow.”
The main theme is of course the digital transformation. After all, the insights are distilled from an ever increasing amount of data. Developing, purchasing and implementing the software to generate and process this data is an important part of the duties of a CFO. Read the interview(Dutch) here.
